Transitory is an iOS app that I designed and built as a personal startup venture. It lets users temporarily and anonymously share their real-time location with as few or as many people as they want. With one tap in a streamlined interface, users can generate an auto-expiring URL that displays their location to anyone who views it, and can then send the URL to anyone via text, email, facebook, twitter, and more. Recipients of the URL don't need the app or even a smartphone; as long as they have a browser and internet connection, they can track the user for the amount of time the user allows. It's a fresh take on traditional location-sharing apps that are often difficult to use with complicated social networks and permissioning, tied to your personal identity, and always on in the background.
